Where to Find the Classified Records Keycard

Unlike some guaranteed quest-related items, the Classified Records Keycard does not have one fixed location where it always appears. It is treated as random loot, so patience and thorough searching are essential.

While exploring Riven Tides, check as many containers as possible. Drawers, trash bins, storage boxes, cabinets, and medical areas can all be worth searching. Hotel Panorama Azzurro and the surrounding areas are particularly useful places to investigate because they contain plenty of containers and storage spots.

Night Raids and maps with special modifiers can also be worth considering. These conditions may provide access to better loot containers, giving you more opportunities to encounter valuable random drops. Even so, there is no guaranteed spawn, so expect to make several runs before finding the card.

Head to the Port Authority Building

Once you have the Classified Records Keycard, your destination is the Port Authority Building in the northern part of Riven Tides. This large U-shaped structure is one of the more dangerous locations on the map, so reaching the key room safely can be just as important as obtaining the key itself.

The building may attract other players, and powerful ARC machines such as Shredders can make careless approaches particularly dangerous. One possible route is to cross the long bridge from the Dam side and use the higher access points around the roof or windows. Another option is to approach from the southwest and climb toward the second floor.

Choose your entrance based on the current situation rather than following one route every time. Listening for nearby enemies and checking the area before committing to the building can save you from losing the key immediately after finding it.

Locate the Classified Records Room

After entering the Port Authority Building, move toward the platform around the first and second-floor level. The Classified Records room has an electronic lock and is the first destination for your keycard.

This is where many players make an important mistake. Opening this door does not necessarily mean you have reached the best loot available inside the location.

The Classified Records Keycard unlocks the outer room, where you can collect several useful supplies. However, another locked section is hidden inside, and reaching it requires a completely different keycard.

Watch Out for the Double-Key Room

The Port Authority Building contains a double-key setup that can easily catch players off guard. The first keycard opens the Classified Records room, but a Secure Storage Keycard is needed to access the smaller storage area beyond it.

The surprising part is that the Secure Storage Keycard can be found inside the first locked room. This creates a simple but important problem: bringing only the Classified Records Keycard may get you through the first door, but it does not guarantee access to the location's best reward.

The inner storage area contains a high-value loot container, making the second keycard especially important for players trying to maximize each run.

Prepare Before Making the Trip

If you are playing with a squad, the safest approach is to coordinate both keycards before heading to the Port Authority Building. Having the Classified Records Keycard and Secure Storage Keycard available at the same time allows your team to open both sections during one trip.

It is also smart to bring enough equipment for a potentially contested encounter. The building can be busy, and fighting ARC machines while dealing with another player squad can quickly turn a profitable run into a loss.

If you only have the first keycard, decide whether the outer-room loot is worth the risk. When both cards are ready, however, the trip becomes much more rewarding because you can clear the entire locked area without needing to return later.

The Classified Records Keycard is valuable because it combines exploration, risk, and preparation. Search widely rather than relying on a single spawn location, consider higher-loot map conditions, and approach the Port Authority Building carefully.

Most importantly, remember that the first locked door is not the end of the reward chain.
