Mulla Nasrudin was sitting in the marketplace one day when a man approached him with a tricky question. The man wanted to test Nasrudin’s intelligence and asked him something meant to confuse him . People nearby stopped to listen, expecting Nasrudin to make a mistake.
Nasrudin listened carefully, smiled , and then replied with a calm and clever answer. His words were so simple yet meaningful that everyone around him was surprised . The man realized that wisdom is not about complicated words, but about understanding life clearly.
Hearing Nasrudin’s wise answer , the crowd laughed and nodded in agreement. The man thanked Nasrudin and walked away wiser than before . Nasrudin returned to his seat, peaceful and content

ایک دن ملا نصرالدین بازار میں بیٹھے تھے کہ ایک آدمی ان سے ایک مشکل سوال پوچھنے آیا۔ وہ آدمی ملا نصرالدین کی عقل آزمانا چاہتا تھا ۔ اردگرد کے لوگ بھی رک گئے تاکہ جواب سن سکیں۔
ملا نصرالدین نے غور سے سوال سنا، مسکرائے اور پھر نہایت سادہ مگر دانا جواب دیا۔ ان کے الفاظ اتنے معنی خیز تھے کہ سب لوگ حیران رہ گئے ۔ اس آدمی کو سمجھ آ گیا کہ اصل عقل سادگی میں ہوتی ہے۔
ملا نصرالدین کا جواب سن کر لوگ خوش ہو گئے ۔ وہ آدمی سبق سیکھ کر چلا گیا اور ملا نصرالدین اطمینان سے بیٹھے رہے۔
