English Story
One day, a famous tightrope walker came to a village.
He tied a rope between two tall buildings and asked the people, “Do you believe I can walk on this rope?” Everyone shouted, “Yes! Yes!” Mulla Nasrudin was also standing there and watching carefully.
The tightrope walker walked across the rope safely. Then he asked, “Do you believe I can carry a person on my back while walking?” The people again shouted, “Yes!”
But when he asked, “Who will sit on my back?” everyone became silent.
No one was ready to take the risk.
Mulla Nasrudin smiled and said, “It is easy to say you believe, but true belief needs action.”
The people felt ashamed and learned an important lesson that real trust is shown by actions, not just words.
Moral: True belief is shown by actions, not only by words.
اردو کہانی
ایک دن ایک مشہور رسّی پر چلنے والا گاؤں میں آیا۔
اُس نے دو اونچی عمارتوں کے درمیان رسّی باندھی اور لوگوں سے پوچھا، "کیا تم یقین رکھتے ہو کہ میں اس رسّی پر چل سکتا ہوں؟" سب نے کہا، "ہاں!" ملا نصرالدین بھی وہاں موجود تھے اور غور سے دیکھ رہے تھے۔
رسّی پر چلنے والے نے آسانی سے رسّی پار کر لی۔ پھر اُس نے پوچھا، "کیا تم یقین رکھتے ہو کہ میں کسی کو اپنی پیٹھ پر بٹھا کر رسّی پار کر سکتا ہوں؟" سب نے دوبارہ کہا، "ہاں!"
لیکن جب اُس نے پوچھا، "کون میری پیٹھ پر بیٹھے گا؟" تو سب خاموش ہو گئے۔
کوئی بھی تیار نہ تھا۔
ملا نصرالدین مسکرائے اور کہا، "صرف باتوں سے یقین نہیں ہوتا، اصل یقین عمل سے ثابت ہوتا ہے۔"
لوگوں نے سبق سیکھا کہ سچا اعتماد عمل سے ظاہر ہوتا ہے۔
سبق: سچا یقین صرف باتوں سے نہیں بلکہ عمل سے ثابت ہوتا ہے۔
