Mulla Nasrudin & the Donkey’s Price
One day, Mulla Nasrudin took his donkey to the marketplace to sell it. A man came and asked,
“How much is your donkey?”
Nasrudin replied calmly, “Fifty gold coins .”
The man laughed and said, “That’s too much! I have seen better donkeys for less.”
Nasrudin smiled and said, “Then you should buy one of those.”
Surprised, the man asked, “Don’t you want to sell your donkey?”
Nasrudin replied wisely, “I do, but if I sell him for less than his value to me, then I would be the donkey .”
The man understood the lesson and walked away. Nasrudin took his donkey back home, happy and satisfied.
Moral:
Never undervalue yourself or what is important to you

ملا نصرالدین اور گدھے کی قیمت
ایک دن ملا نصرالدین اپنا گدھا بیچنے کے لیے بازار لے گئے۔ ایک آدمی نے پوچھا،
“اس گدھے کی قیمت کیا ہے؟”
ملا نصرالدین نے سکون سے جواب دیا، “پچاس سونے کے سکے ۔”
آدمی ہنس پڑا اور بولا، “یہ بہت زیادہ ہے! اس سے بہتر گدھے کم قیمت میں مل جاتے ہیں۔”
ملا نصرالدین مسکرا کر بولے، “تو پھر وہی خرید لو۔”
آدمی حیران ہو کر بولا، “کیا آپ اپنا گدھا نہیں بیچنا چاہتے؟”
ملا نصرالدین نے دانائی سے کہا،
“میں بیچنا چاہتا ہوں، لیکن اگر میں اسے اس کی اصل قیمت سے کم میں بیچوں تو گدھا میں خود بن جاؤں گا ۔”
آدمی سبق سیکھ کر چلا گیا اور ملا نصرالدین خوشی سے گدھے کو گھر لے گئے
